Why is it mirrored?

The Amish Fan page was originally hosted by the free web hosting service, GeoCities. (Original URL: http://www.geocities.com/amishfan) On October 26, 2009, Yahoo! shut down the service for good and took down all GeoCities websites the next day, which included the Amish Fan Page.

When Yahoo! initially announced that it was shutting down this serviced, I archived The Amish Fan Page for fear of it disappearing permanently. The original author of this site has not taken it to another hosting service, therefore leaving it unavailable for viewing.

Out of love for this site's informative content and humour, I decided to mirror it on my own webspace. There are still a few files missing (mostly .wav files) but the site seems to be about 95% restored. I also added an extra link on the main page that existed in an older form of this site.

Thanks to the original author (whomever you are) for creating something truly interesting and unique! If you happen to find this page and still have no plans of resurrecting it, it would be appreciated if you could supply the missing files.
