Zoras Napster and the Fortune Radio

It was the fifth century A.D. The phonograph was invented in 180 A.D. by Maximus T. Gladiator, but there wasn't much of a use for it. STMF and DTMF music did not sound good on it, and not too many people had the hankering to listen to talk. Then something happened.
In 450 A.D. a magician by the name of Zoras Napster was experimenting with various forms of I.D.A (immoral data acquisition) when he found musical information from the 20th century buried in RCA cables and headphone wires. He rigged up a piece of paraphernalia with two dials, one for the wire to be read from, and the other for the time. He found out that the music was in stereo, so there became a need for a stereo phonograph, the Amberola 31. There was also a need for normal (that is, mortal) people to be able to hear this music without rituals. So there was a stereo celluloid cylinder recorder built into it.
The Fortune Radio in use.
Zoras Napster was a good friend with Merlin (the inventor of the Laser Candle) and Merlin collected a large amount of cylinders off the Fortune Radio. Later models of the Fortune Radio had high-speed dubbing to cylinder, then later Rings and Mithril LPs, and could pick up signals from shielded cables..
